Great post, you summed up everything perfectly. I never expected us to get this far so the last series and this one have been gravy. It was a shame they couldn't hold things together longer but a treat just the same.

I really felt like the Dogs were(and are) the better team. I don't know and could not say that the officials and the League want the Knights to win: I can't imagine the OHL would care. But, this I do know: 1) London dives, then bitches about how much everyone else dives.2) The Knights carve your face with their sticks, then complains about all the stick work their opponents get away with.
It doesn't take very long for this kind of behaviour to drive a team crazy.

Although we take way too many penalties (some merited and some not so much) we all know that the best team does not always win the game...discipline and reaction to provocation are a big decider on the games as well as the officiating at times (not always) Right now we are down by two games but we are not out...we just need to win the two home games and maybe that will put the boys in a better frame of mind and who knows what might happen after that. If it doesn't happen then we were still blessed to get this far and it was probably further than most of us ever expected. Don't give up on the boys because in sports anything can and does happen. Go Dogs Go

London's always played like that. After watching the game up until the final 10 minutes I honestly feel that the Dogs can easily climb their way back into this series on Monday night with a victory. Yes there were lots of calls missed and the Dogs got stuck with the retaliatory BS calls so they need to smarten up!

Ned will bounce back just watch him. Takes a full team to play in front of him so the Dogs need to bring it Monday. Bring it to game six next Sunday so I can go!!

The league loves the Knights, the refs favor the Knights, and Sportsnet loves the Knights. We have a lot going against us to even win a game in this series against the Darlings of the OHL. These are some of the reasons I hate the Knights and always will, sorry Stinky.

Frustration setting in Red, tempers boiling in these kids.
I was at the game and did not see Maletta do what you said he did. Can anyone other than a London supporter please advise if they witnessed this despicable act and if so then I will say how disgusted I am that one of our players did such a thing. If no-one can confirm this took place then I suggest that we disregard this very damaging statement against one of our players who has had an excellent reputation with the fans and who I believe is above doing this behaviour. Too often on this board someone will say that something terrible happened and do not provide any supporting documentation or video to support their claim and rightly or wrongly the player gets chastised by the fans when the statements were not true. DiFruscia spitting on someone immediately comes to mind. We still have not had any proof that this happened and yet DiFruscia and his family went through a very intense and trying time denying these accusations. Are we forgetting that people are innocent until proven guilty.

Yes, I was at the game (lower bowl), and it's true what Maletta did. It happened in front of section 106. However, it's possible that he merely PRETENDED to spit in the hat before he tossed it over the boards. Haydon also grabbed the game puck after the final buzzer and put it in his pants, then pulled it out, and showed it to the London players.
The key to this series moving forward will be discipline and composure--not retaliating. Stay out of the box or London's PP will prove deadly.
I read on another message board that since Hunter has coached London, the Knights have never lost a playoff series when they are up two games to zero. Maybe this is the year to change that?

Much thanks jimmyicedogfan for your true honesty.

It would appear some on this forum only want to read about attendance of the games and who is singing the national anthem........

btw, who is singing the national anthem??

I agree we have to stay out of the box but it seemed like we got a penalty if we went near a Knights player last night
