It's game day and time to put yesterday's game behind us. Coach Bell stated that the players were too proud of the North Bay game and forgot to focus on the job at hand yesterday.
Sounds like the two players who were disciplined by the players themselves for breaking team rules will also miss tonight's game as well.
Today is a whole new day. Who starts in between the pipes tonight? Remembering that the team jumps on a bus tomorrow morning for a 2:00pm game in Peterborough.
Go Dogs Go !!

Tonight will be an extremely important foreshadow of the season.

Coming back after that embarrassing display last night is a test of character. If they collapse again it is likely going to be a very long season.

Alot if people are calling it a pathetic display.... REALLY.... it's game 2 of the season.. we have a boat load of rookies and almost no scoring that returned from last year's squad... it's a learning curve for these kids, they need to learn the speed of this league and settle in. Before we call it pathetic maybe we should give them the proper amount of time to learn and adjust.

I am willing to give it time. But that was a pathetic effort. I saw players not skating hard, backing off the blue line too early, Fronts players skating circles around our guys and getting loose with the puck. As the game progressed they seemed more concerned with starting a fight than setting up goals.

They have a lot of learning to do. Its a young team, I realize all that.

I'm sure missing the two players we were missing last night for disciplinary reasons may have contributed a bit. Lines would have undoubtedly had to be adjusted somewhat and could have contributed to the somewhat disorganized flow of our offense. That's what I'm going with anyways. Go Dogs.

I am not blaming that disaster on the rookies at all, I will always cut the rookies a little slack. Posted this last night.

I've seen teams built like us compete a lot more than we did last night heck Kingston is pretty much in the same boat as us and they had little to no issues last night saying that they still need time but the one big problem from last night was the power play if we want to stay close to teams they have to be a lot better with the man advantage
