A Ted Nolan maybe? Why not?

I don't care who buys it, so long as they hire an experienced HC and GM to run the team. "Experienced" to me means a proven track record established over years, not just the lucky coincidence that you have the same family name as the owner.

I really doubt he has 10 or 20 million looking for a place to invest.

Expect official news on the sale of the #OHL’s Niagara IceDogs Friday. Brantford based ownership is involved, although this does not signal relocation of the team.

I think it’s basically 100% certain that the Brantford guy is buying the team.

How much would it cost the new owner to buy his way out of the lease and how many years are left on the lease. Brantford's rink is 3000 capacity in comparison to the 5300 here.

Very little is impossible. Yes, expensive. Yes, Hamilton could have a say. But more realistically, Niagara has the fourth best attendance record in the league and Brantford is too far for the fanbase to drive . Brantford has been without an OHL team for decades with no groundswell of support for its return. A new owner will bring in new ideas and different connections, and hopefully two new key staff members .

Could that mean an alliance to his lower tier teams, sure! Niagara has been unable to forge those connections locally, so why not.

I'd also recommend a rebranding of sorts, not a total washout but something strategic to signal a new era. I am busy putting my resumť together right now, I am sure they will be calling me Saturday... Director of Common Sense has a sort of ring to it, no?
