Default Ho Sang

Just checking the AHL games and noticed that Josh was sent down to Bridgeport, Wonder what happened there, he seemed to be doing well.

Went out his first shift in Bridgeport and scored on his first shot last night.

I had to start getting into the Islanders to follow Josh, and I have to say, that has to be one of the most dysfunctional organizations I have seen.

Doug Weight has been completely evasive on the reason for the send down, I think it was something political that the Islanders do not want the public to know about. Maybe Josh screwed up off the ice in some regard or stepped on someone's toes? His play certainly did not warrant the send down. Looking at Islander's fan forums, they seem just as baffled.

Anyway, what do I know? Here's the goal and some more banter:

Can't find it now, but I saw on Twitter it was apparently over disciplinary reasons.

He's a very unique, unorthodox guy. Very worldly, kind of an old soul. Look at his interviews, he doesn't give the "well, we got a good group of guys, just got to go out in the 3rd give 110%, and keep getting pucks to the net" spiel, which is very refreshing.

I get the idea that he would rub the old school hockey types the wrong way, though. No pressure, no diamonds.
My money still says he'll make it big.

I remember Strome got sent down for criticizing the coach in an interview.

I have tickets to see the Isles beat the Leafs in the new year. Hope Josh is back by then.

Islanders have already demonstrated you march to their beat or you don't march. Time for JHS to work with his coach. Talent like that doesn't belong in the AHL and if his franchise doesn't get it (not unlike Windsor) then time to play for a trade.

Josh is back at the Islanders and scored a goal on the weekend.

Hopefully the Islanders figure out how to work with Josh Ho Sang. If they don't, another team will gladly step in.
