This is great news. Shows that Niagara really can attract top talent and get them to sign.

Here is something for IceDog fans to keep in their back pocket.
Muskegon Lumberjacks signed Russian 04 Ivan Miroshnichenko – who is drawing attention as one of the top 2022 NHL draft prospects. A phenomenal talent following in the footsteps of (Andrei Svechnikov and Daniil Gushchin) who opted to use NA (USHL to OHL), specifically Muskegon, as their path to the NHL. Why is this of interest? 04 Ivan Miroshnichenko is represented by the same agent (Mark Gandler) used by Daniel Gushchin (and Andrei Svechnikov). Miroshnichenko said, “My dream is to follow Andrei's path to the NHL, and to do that I will have to have a great season in Muskegon.” A positive experience in Niagara for Gushchin (and Gandler) could unlock the door wide open for Miroshnichenko to land in Niagara in a year or two. There are few OHL game day experiences as impressive as that in the Meridian Centre. So with Gushchin in Niagara, there is an opportunity for the IceDogs to prove themselves as an organization and land yet another elite Import. 04 Ivan Miroshnichenko would fit perfectly with a potentially strong core challenging for an OHL title in 22-23. 2022-2023 2002s (OAs) T.Tynan C.Butler J.Uberti C.Peters C.Snow 2003s (19 yrs) I. Hopefully, IceDog fans can revisit this in the near future. With player agent Mark Gandler agreeing to Gushchin signing in Niagara, Ivan Miroshnichenko is a player worth keeping an eye on this year.
