Location and a fantastic fan base will make most players keen to come here. Parents who meet the Burke's will want to come here as they truly care about the young men. It is agents that I would worry about. They are not big fans of either JB of BB and they wield a ton of power. I guess we will see this year in the draft particularly if we are picking 2nd

Will we see it in this years draft though if we are picking 2nd since that kid has an NCAA commitment (unless fantilli tells NB no and falls in our lap)

Just to clarify Fantilli does not have an NCAA commitment, however, he is still not going to NB. It does not mean they canít draft him but it will only amount to a wasted or rather a deferred #5 pick overall in the 2021 draft. He should not be drafted without a commitment to sign or he is heading to the NCAA with his brother. IceDogs have a clear advantage over the rest of the OHL on Adam Fantilli but we still donít know what will happen on draft day.

I know Fantilli doesnít have a commitment yet I was more thinking about the kid everyone thinks would go 2 if Fantilli goes #1 we think heíll say no to NB but everyone thought that about Mctavish and the Peteís but he changed his mind maybe Fantilli will do the same. As for them maybe not wanting to risk drafting him why not if theyíre going to be bad again next year maybe theyíre willing to take another top 5 pick

I think this yearís draft will be the litmus test for the attractiveness of this team/market, given the state that this directionless team is in.

I am tired of these small high end players that are under 5'9" tall. Nobody under 6'2". Have a er folks. And looking for forwards in the first 5 picks

Like you I would prefer that the IceDogs draft players with some height. However, keep something in mind, they are only 15 or 16 when drafted in April - and they are still growing.

Example:
#5 Mason McTavish was 5.10 on draft day, he is currently 6.01.
#2 Connor Lockhart draft 5.07 and now 5.10.

Removing the players with NCAA commitments (since they won't be draft until rounds 2-5), the starting heights on most of the top OHL prospects seem reasonable for 15/16 year olds...

Adam Fantilli C (6.03 / 175) Kimball Union Academy (Prep)
David Goyette LW/ C (5.10 / 155) Selects Hockey Academy
Ty Nelson RHD (5.08 / 155) Toronto Jr. Canadiens (GTHL)
Kocha Delic C (5.10 / 175) Toronto Titans (GTHL)
Paul Ludwinski C (5.11 / 160) Toronto Marlboros (GTHL)
Pano Fimis C (5.09 / 160) Toronto Jr. Canadiens (GTHL)
Cedrick Guindon C (5.09 / 155) Rockland Nationals (HEO)
Matthew Jovanovic LHD (6.01/185) Toronto Marlies (GTHL)
Cutter Gauthier LW / C (6.01 / 186) Detroit Compuware U16 (T1EHL)
Isaiah George LHD (6.01 / 178) Toronto Marlboros (GTHL)
Bryce McConnell-Barker C (6.01 /161) London Jr. Knights (Alliance)
Dalyn Wakely C (5.11 / 165) Quinte Red Devils (ETA)
Aidan Castle RW (5.11 / 168) Toronto Jr. Canadiens (GTHL)
Carson Christy C (5.11 /155 ) Oshawa Jr. Generals (ETA)
Sam Alfano C (6.03 / 181 ) Southern Tier Admirals (SCTA)

I'm with you RSJ but biggest on draft day does not mean the biggest or best by the end of the season or next season. A lot of unscientific research has to be done prior to the draft - check out the height of his dad, mom, older brothers, uncles and aunts
