Rather than having the "jump around cam" put the number on the screen and a countdown. Draw the prize on time and if a redraw is required do it right after the game.

Last game I believe was the first time that Rod actually announced an approximate time they would hold the draw. (12 minute mark). I thought it was kinda weird because they had never done that before. I guess this answers why they did that.

The other interesting thing I was told at the arena on Wednesday night was that an usher won the money. Can anyone confirm that?

New rules were implemented Wednesday night hence the fact we were warned when to look at the screen, and so on.

AGCO governs the 50/50 so we can't donate the proceeds. that according to the Sault Greyhounds o I assume it true for the Ice Dogs too

In Hamilton, their 50/50 did not got to Humboldt. Instead they held a raffle in which the proceeds of that went to Humboldt. The same happened in Niagara with the raffle of the jersey. The Ice Dogs also had ushers holding donation buckets to collect for Humboldt so I don't believe that the 50/50 should also have been donated.

Another hat tip to this community and the organization. Go to the Gofundme page, check out the top donors. No sub-NHL team has out-donated Niagara. It's not a competition, but I do take some pride in this team's community engagement on so many levels.
