IceDogs Next Move…

They now have some really nice high-end skill players in their top 6, but a playoff runs also requires some toughness!

With that in mind, a couple of relatively inexpensive players that would be really great additions to the IceDogs are: One of these defenseman (OA D Theo Calvas or OA D Sean Allan or 00 D Kurtis Henry) and one forward - my first choice being 99 (LW) Danial Walker. He can skate, hit and fight!

With those final pieces of the puzzles, the IceDogs become a balanced playoff team of skill, speed, size and toughness!

Let’s just enjoy the new players and see how the team looks before we think about what else they need ( everyone’s favourite “insider”) said earlier they are looking at forwards when it comes to the OA

I am not sure if GM Joey could pull these off, but, they still need help in my opinion. I would like, as you wrote....

Defenseman (OA D Theo Calvas or and or 99 (LW) Danial Walker.

In my opinion, even with the addition of Paquette, we will still be too easy to play against in our end.
And, Walker would improve one of our top two lines.

Which in turn would make our 3rd and 4th lines better as we would be a lot deeper and harder to play against.

Just my opinion though

I agree on both accounts! One more big tough dman needed. I really like Walker. He would add a dimension to this team that is lacking.

We have no problem scoring, our GF is one of the highest in the league. We need to tighten up our defense and our backstop. I think one more defender puts us in the running unless Ottawa uses their warchest and buys everyone.

I think they are in the running either way because I don’t see Ottawa keeping this up all year plus playoffs

Why not? They show no signs of slowing down and we had trouble with Hamilton ffs.

Hamilton is a tough team to play almost every team is when they aren’t supposed to be good. As for Ottawa I just feel like they’re relying on Keating and Felhaber a lot and if one or both get hurt or just stop scoring for a period of time they’re in trouble and I’ve always felt they are a year ahead

What trouble with Hamilton face and one last year in the regular season till they loaded up for the playoffs and one meeting this year sparked them 6 to 3 Ottawa got banged up last weekend there import out till the end of January at least.Clareke also out for a month.
