My buddy said the top power play unit only passed the puck around no shots so what is this bs of running up the score if you’re team is foolish enough to take penalties what do you expect.

It was a clean breakaway even the Hamilton broadcast who will loudly complain if something goes against them said the same

No they didn’t shoot today they were just messing around passing the puck. The BS is cause people have to complain about something so they picked that. I agree if the teams foolish and takes penalties they shouldn’t expect anything different

Your buddy is 100% correct on what he wrote about the top power play unit, plus they stay on the ice way too long

I like the second unit better, as they at least create opportunities when they shoot the puck at the net.

I like whatever unit puts the puck in the net and this weekend it was the first unit

Hamilton were taking 'liberties' with our top players when the score was no longer in doubt.
Owen Sound did the same thing Thursday night.
Both times Burke sent out the top PP unit.
Since it seems there are no legitimate tough guys on this team I think this is how he wants to give payback for their transgressions.

I remember a few years ago the same situation was happening in Oshawa during the playoffs so Marty sent out the #1 PP unit in the dying minutes of a decided game.

The CODE? Give me a break. In todays OHL there no room for 'getting even' because all that will do is get you suspended.

While he might get some satisfaction (payback) by getting a meaningless goal when the game is out of reach, I’m not sure it’s worth it if one of the top guys comes back to the bench with a broken wrist from a slash or any injury for that matter. Go out and get a tough guy or two instead of risking a meathead taking out one of your top guys late in a blowout.

And what would that tough guy do? Fight 3 times and then be done for the season?

In that case we should’ve never played our guys we made it 4-1 today or at any point in the third period in the previous 2 games if we are worried about them getting run through the boards
