Proof of Vaccination Required for all OHL Games

That is interesting. It indicates they have around 2000 season tickets sold. Not bad considering everything.

London Knights emailed out their rules.

- For all ticketed events beginning September 3, each fan aged 12 and older will be required to show proof of being fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus (at least 14 days prior to the event). Patrons under 12 years of age need to be accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult.

- Patrons with valid medical restrictions and a medical note will be required to take a COVID-19 test from a healthcare provider within 48 hours prior to the event and provide proof of negative result prior to entering the venue. PCR tests or Rapid/Antigen tests will be accepted as long as they are administered by a healthcare provider.

- Current methods of acceptable vaccination “proof” are 1) a physical copy of Ontario Ministry of Health vaccination receipt indicating the individual has received 2 doses of acceptable vaccines, or 2) an Electronic copy of Ontario Ministry of Health vaccination receipt indicating the individual has received 2 doses of acceptable vaccines. A government-issued photo ID is also required.

- Face masks will be required as per Step 3 protocols from the Ontario Government except for brief times when eating or drinking,

- Refunds will be available to patrons that cannot produce valid/acceptable proof of vaccination. Refunds will be made to the original purchaser of the tickets.

- Once doors are open to the public, no spectator will be allowed to exit and reenter the venue. This includes exiting for the purpose of smoking.

So I suppose OHL teams are allowed to cross the border without a problem? Did they fall under the same national interest exemption as MLB and MLS? Anyone know?

Here's a question from someone who is probably the ONLY U.S. based fan of the IceDogs. I have my CDC vaccination card(original, no photocopies). Would they accept this as valid proof or would I be out of luck? If it's the latter, no big deal.

Reading through it quickly it does mention having to upload digital proof.

Well, I can easily put the ArriveCAN app on my phone and upload all the needed data. What I'm referring to do is when I actually arrive at the game. Will they accept a U.S. vaccination card?

Good question, nothing has been announced yet even for Ontario residents.

Maybe reach out to the office, this may not have even occurred to anyone yet. A really good question deserves answers.

Actually....it just was. And yes, indoor arenas ARE on the list.

To follow up on AuldBone's post: Per that announcement, the press release states "Patrons who are visitors to Ontario will be required to show proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and proof of identification to enter the businesses or organizations specified....Proof of vaccination will be accepted if the person's name and date of birth on their identification document matches the vaccination receipt with name and date of birth and if the person is fully vaccinated. " So I guess that clears THAT up.
