Young team with promise who had developed last year,

Turned it into an old team, that would have a plethora of OA candidates next year, that nosedived in the standings, the. Turned it into who knows what kind of team, with a dearth of OA candidates for next season, that sunk even further in the standings tha. I imagined was possible.

He turned them around all right

I have not heard anybody defending DD's performance recently. Have you?

For the first few months I was giving him the benefit of the doubt but its clear to me he needs some experienced help.

The Facebook fan page has some people defending DD’s performance. One poster said the mess we are in is not his fault. Others are saying what we need to do is show DD that we will support him no matter what. A lot of posters feel we are in a rebuild so this is normal. One poster said she is really hoping we win the memorial cup in the next 2-3 years. They seem completely out of it on Facebook. I don’t get it.

Not everyone comes to the game with the same level of insight. Ranging from casual spectators to die hard informed fans and every notch along the continuum. There area people who go there to be entertained but know nothing about hockey, there are those who understand the rules but not the behind the scenes stuff that makes or breaks a team, fans who are showing support to a local group of young athletes and who believe if they cheer loud enough everything is possible, fans who get the nuances of the game but perhaps not the realities of the OHL, and then there are the fans who see the big picture.

So many head scratching comments.

It is a good listen for the non-believers.

He really is clueless.


I will try and summarize the head scratching comments some other time as I am busy today.

3D has spoken in such vague platitudinal terms on this interview that almost anyone would know he is without a doubt way
beyond his depth of any understanding of how to manage, draft, organise, recruit or otherwise 'run' any hockey business.

His results owning 3 last place hockey teams speaks volumes!

Sadly, we are likely in for another 'disaster' year with no hope in sight...can the OHL bail us out?

After only a year, he has managed to get himself suspended for 2 and has managed to cost the team another first round pick (and another $100000).

So glad that the OHL has such strong procedures vetting for new owners. But don't worry, they can always punish the fans for their mistakes.

They will bail us out at some point no doubt. It will take a players revolt(which is likely coming sooner or later) to do it IMO.
