A couple more years locked in!

I just re-registered this domain name (icedogfans.com) for another 2yrs, so the IceDogs owe it to me to be around at least that much longer!

And what a pain in the ass it was.... there was some sort of "domain protection" feature locked on to this domain, which would have cost me an extra $64US to keep on, so I wanted to take it off, but to do so meant about 4 phone calls to the States, waiting on hold for a long time, then hours of phone conversations, having a form sent to me to fill out, sending it in, being told my picture identification wasn't good enough because I didn't also show the BACK of the card (GRR!), re-doing all that, sending it all back in again, having the domain protection feature finally taken off, then re-going through the entire domain renewal process again so I wouldn't be charged for the domain protection feature.

In short, it took me 2 FRICKIN DAYS of phone calls and emails and scanning documents to renew this domain, but when all is said and done, it's locked up until at least June 14, 2012

Hehe, even if they offered anything I'd have to refuse. I'd end up feeling obligated to allow an outside party an input on how the site is run. This has always been a private site run by myself and you guys/gals, and if I ever accepted anything it would take away from that feeling. This site is 100% independent from the team and will always remain that way. (I believe that any 'true' fan site needs to be run that way)

And thanks to everyone here who've made countless very knowledgeable posts this season. It still amazes me how much OHL hockey knowledge some people have. My OHL knowledge basically starts with and ends with this team. Outside of our roster I really don't know much at all.

Anyway, here's hoping to a long and most importantly FUN time at this place in the future.

Totally agree with everyone else. I have checked out other fan sites over the years and none of them are as good as this site. Great job AD.
