![]() Niagara IceDogs: 3rd in the East after 27 games with 36 points, 16-7-4-0 or 0.667% Scoring: Robertson 27-25, Thomas 11-23, Maksimov 18-14 Goaltending: Dhillon 21GP 2.73GAA(7th) 0.916%(6th) Saginaw Spirit: 5th in the West after 27 games with 31 points, 13-10-1-2 or 0.574% Scoring: Coskey 11-16, Michnac 8-15, Jenkins 8-14 Goaltending: Prosvetov 21GP 3.31GAA(13th) 0.892%(13th) When Niagara visited Michigan back at the end of October, it was a rare 3-2 shootout win for the IceDogs. With the upgrades in place and the full team playing, this is a must-win on home ice. Niagara needs to get off to an early lead and keep the pace up all game long. The Spirit are no strangers to the penalty box and will hope to capitalize on the IceDog’s Achilles-heal by dragging a few players down with them. Should be a great game! |

I have to disagree with you in terms of “must win” I think we win this but it will be a tough game I’m saying 4-3 Niagara

GAME 28 / 68 vs SAGINAW
Expectations were high at the start of the season in Saginaw – so when things went sideways, coach Troy Smith was fired (Nov.18th) and assistant coach Chris Lazary was hired. Since taking over as HC, Lazary has won 4 of his first 5 games. Projected to be a 2nd or 3rd pick before the season started – Tomasino’s name has begun to surface as a possible 1st round pick in some circles. FC HOCKEY SCOUTING REPORT https://futureconsiderations.ca/nove...book-thompson/ FC DRAFT RANKINGS (Tomasino #23) https://futureconsiderations.ca/top-rankings-2019/ Jason Robertson is as advertised and a little bit more – a game-changer! Robertson is off to a spectacular start to his Niagara IceDogs career (5GP - 4G - 10A - 14 PTS) Jason Robertson (Video Interview) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Qf7XHFTBuk All eyes have been on J-Rob, but have you noticed how well Jacob Paquette has played? Since the arrival of Robertson and Paquette, the IceDogs are playing .800 hockey - winning 4 of the 5 games. This edition of the IceDogs, continues to rack up points at better pace than Niagara’s two previous OHL finalist. 2018/2019 (36 pts in 27 gm) 2015/2016 (30 pts in 27 gm) 2011/2012 (31 pts in 27 gm) #win |

I want our team to finish 1st overall in he East which would give us home ice until the OHL final. Home ice advantage means a lot in the playoffs. |

Home ice would be great and I hope they somehow get it but I think the gap is too big (hope I’m wrong)

I am not so sure that Ottawa can maintain this pace they are on. But, if our players play games in their nonchalant way like they have at times, then, you win this discussion. However, if they play the way they are supposed to play (full tilit boogie) with every game being important in the win column, I think we can catch them. Go Dogs Go!! |

I am going to stay on the positive side of things as Ottawa will be missing players as well.
We shall see what we shall see. |
