I’ve only seen one article about this, but it describes a situation in Hamilton whereupon the First Hamilton Centre(I think: the former Copps Coliseum, anyway) is having a serious(?) issue with the stadium’s refrigeration system. And if I understand this correctly, if this issue is not resolved, it may result in the relocation of the Bulldogs.
I, for one, hope the Bulldogs can stay in The Hammer, so that they can continue the K-9 Cup, and continue building the rivalry with our beloved IceDogs. As far as a potential landing spot, get this: the Powerade Centre in Brampton:/ So, what do you think? Is there a chance that this could actually happen? |

The article that I read mentioned the Bulldogs finishing off the season in Brampton until the ice situation gets done.

My uncle is from Hamilton and goes to games semi regularly
The last game he went to just maybe a couple weeks ago he said there were huge puddles in various spots on the ice surface Which means those spots aren’t cooling properly Will be a shame to see them leave the hammer That arena is 30+ years old and basically near the end of its estimated useful life without serious $$$ He was telling me that arena needs $35M for various repairs and the city doesn’t have the money just to fix the lines and cooking system which is estimated to cost $6 to $8M Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Oh I should add
He absolutely LOVED our arena and atmosphere ... first time he had been was Thursday night v bulldogs He said if Hamilton had a building like that he would get season tix in a heart beat He said at their arena you are so far away from the action due to the size of the arena and antiquated design Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Doubtful, the Belleville Senators (AHL) are there and they only manage to pull in 2,940 fans per game this year.

Yea I know the Sens AHL teams there but I still think it’s a better option than Brampton and don’t really know where else they could go

If that's the case, Brampton knows how to kill off an OHL team. Can anyone say Newmarket or Buffalo?
