And we’ll see what Oshawa ends up with next year. You know, their “go for it year”. I’ll bet anything you want they get out of the second round. You pick the stakes. Last edited by fishfan51; 01-16-2020 at 07:06 PM. |

And i can tell you this, if Tomasino returns to the OHL next year, I’ll be rooting for him to win an OHL championship. #alltimefavouriteicedog |

Not to be forgotten is that Lleyton Moore will be 18yrs in 20/21 (Oshawa's go for it year,Memorial cup run) which means he's likely dealt the following year (21/22) to recoup some of the lost draft picks.

I bet Oshawa easily lands 2 or 3 2nds for Lleyton Moore two years from now. About half of the 2nds returned from what they gave up for Tomasino this year.

I like the optimism but I would think that Moore would be trending the same with as Billy Constantinou, with a return of a third and a few fourths but this draft will probably determine his value to other clubs.

This is in no way meant to slag Lleyton Moore. I ALWAYS root for players who have worn an IceDogs jersey, regardless if they are still in the OHL, AHL or NHL, however, Moore is quickly falling off the NHL draft radar. His play since being traded to Oshawa has regressed. He was not invited to participate in the CHL top prospects game – and on NHL Central Scouting ranking for NA skaters Jake Uberti has apparently surpassed him. Moore has fallen somewhere below 217 for NA skaters. |

All trades have a natural chain reaction (and long-life span) that is quite interesting to follow when possible.
This thread, identifying all the picks the IceDogs acquired in the 2019-2020 trades, will allow fans to track how each draft pick was utilized: <> the players selected <> which picks were used to acquire players <> and most importantly how these players developed and what impact they had on team success. This cycle culminates with the “return”, in terms of picks (or players) that those players, who are currently only picks in the draft cupboard (or player), are than traded themselves. e.g., If Cameron Butler is traded, in a few years, depending on his development, will bring some level of return directly related to the Akil Thomas trade. Or if a few of these 2nd or 3rd turn out to be impact players that becomes the additional return from the 2020 trades. With the draft cupboard thread pinned, it can easily be updated so fans can discuss how these trades impacted the future of this franchise. Hopefully, the IceDogs maximizing their tradable assets this year, will allow them to create a successful business model that can sustain itself over a number of years. *** Last edited by Blacksox; 01-17-2020 at 02:08 PM. |
