Well with that schedule my decision for number of season tickets to get has been made.

No longer going to add the second seat this year, I?ll stick with the single seat and try to go to 20-24 games or so ?.

Even without a year of OHL hockey for me this schedule will be kinda monotonous ?

What is the reason for only games against the Eastern conference anyway? How does that minimize the covid risk.

I am pretty excited to do anything close to normal. They could have an entire schedule of North Bay games and I would likely show up to 30 of them.

So..... what is the deal this year.

Are we targeting next season as our "go for it" year?

Are the old patterns all messed up so we might as well wait and see the competition?

Do we even have a competitive team?

How good is this Pano Fimis kid?

Well...I recently transferred back to my former workplace(they're operated by the same company, so it was easy), AND my work schedule became more favorable. So...I'll DEFINITELY be able to catch Sunday afternoon games; Saturday night games might be tougher, but doable. (Mind you, this is dependent on when the border opens up. And considering that the Sabres might still be lousy, this might be something that keeps me somewhat sane when it comes to hockey.)

I think the only team we can be sure will be good this year is Kingston because they won’t want to let Wright leave without taking a swing at it as for the rest of the conference we’ll see

Barrie Colts will be the top team in the entire OHL, maybe even the CHL. They have the talent and the draft picks to be that good. You're 100% right, Kingston will be taking a swing at it, but they’re going to have to be creative to do it - draft picks are scarce.

So..... what is the deal this year.

1. Are we targeting next season as our "go for it" year?

2. Are the old patterns all messed up so we might as well wait and see the competition?

3. Do we even have a competitive team?

4. How good is this Pano Fimis kid?

1.Yes, that makes sense. Next season, the IceDogs would not need to trade for three top OHL OAs and they’d have a surplus of draft capital and assets to make upgrade trades.

2. For sure. Teams were unable to buy or sell – IceDogs fortunately were neither. Assets needed to recoup picks or win championship are gone with nothing to show for them. Teams are left with barren draft cupboards and empty trophy cases.

3. Yes. If in fact Gushchin is OHL bound, the IceDogs should be a top 3 or 4 team, if he does not, top 5 or 6.

4. Not to put any unneccessay pressure on a 16 year old, trying to make a career out of hockey in the middle of a pandemic, but the general consensus post draft was….”Pano Fimis will be a top scoring 2004 born player in the OHL. He is a fast, highly skilled scoring machine who makes those around him better. Niagara needs him to be their #1 centre moving forward and he will deliver. Expect Fimis to take his next step to being a 2022 NHL 1st rounder.”

The other question you forgot to ask…
5. What is the latest on Tucker Tynan?

5. Tucker Tynan has come all the back, earn a prestigious invite to the USA World Junior Summer Showcase. Being selected as one of only 4 goalies, in itself is an accomplishment, but it also speaks volumes as to where Tucker Tynan must be in his recovery. All things considered remarkable news.

Glad to see more of Oshawa, don’t like not seeing the Western Conference though. I look forward to those games more way more.
