His high draft was likely just because of his size.
Personally, I thought he was improving as the season went on.

I thought Chara looked like hot garbage early in his career. We all know how that turned out/ Why they would give up on a 6'7 player who at the very least proved he was a decent depth player with 3 years left in the league is beyond me. By most accounts he was a first round OHL draft candidate that was having a little trouble adjusting to a huge growth spurt. Justin Brazeau scored 13 points in his 17 year old year. Big guys sometimes need more time. I hope he makes the new GM/Owner/Fanboy look like a fool.

I'll take that bet - what's your criteria for looking like a fool?

If he scores just 10 goals in any season he plays, he’s worth more than an 8th round pick.

I’m willing to bet he out performs the return they got for him.

What’s the stakes?

I think he was worth more than an 8th too at least a fifth, but the hope was stated that he makes DD look foolish. Need to know what the criteria is for foolish.

He better based on where he’s probably going to play in that lineup vs where he’d probably play in ours I think he would’ve been expected to get that with his limited role here this year so that’s gotta be at least 15 for Oshawa

Which means he’d be more valuable to them and should’ve returned more than an 8th. They basically gave away a 6’7” young player that is growing into his body that has the promise to score double digit goals for NOTHING!

I agree it should’ve been more then an 8th personally would’ve said a 6th maybe a 5th but teams are gonna try and trade for a player based on what he’s done not what he’s going to do which is what I think Oshawa did

If that was true, the return for Dickinson would’ve been nothing. That’s the art of the deal. And so far, new guy hasn’t won a trade.

I think his Dickenson return was fine I remember saying on here I didn’t expect a crazy return to begin with
