Shots are inevitable if your goal is to 'clear the puck'. Giving it right back so they can attack in waves is not the answer. They need to get the puck and hold onto it and make plays. The game is all about keeping possession. To have any hope of competing they need to stop throwing it away and make clean zone exits and entries. The fact that they struggle so much to do this is either there is not enough talent or it's not being demanded of them. Probably both TBH.

He has to either hire a real GM and not meddle. It will be very obvious if he hires a yes man and pulls the strings or if it’s a real experienced GM allowed to do his job. I don’t mind the coach. I’d like to see what he can do with some actual talent. The jury is out on the scouting staff. Kids that are drafted where they’re supposed to be drafted have to report. I’m not talking about them drafting a kid 1st overall that is ranked 6th or 7th because he’ll report. If they have the first pick overall it’s Roobroeck. If they don’t draft him it’s because he won’t report. Long story short, before I spend a red cent on this team he has to get his collective **** together. I won’t hold my breath. After the Burkes kids and now this guy, I’m guessing I won’t be a season ticket holder again anytime soon…. If ever. |

Gens will have to pay for the brothers to play together. Might be easier for the other team to buy the older sibling.

I think what bothers me is not only how bad DeDobbelaer has been as a GM but also how bad he is as an owner. There is lots of talk at the arena about how cheap he is with the players and all the cost cutting measures he has done. At times it seems like a hopeless situation.

I do think the team is improving a little and next season they may be able to fight for a playoff spot, which is sad considering that next season is supposed to be the season we go for it. Instead I will hope for 8th place.
