Even the lure of popcorn ice cream and pop at the game was not enough to lure two of my three kids to come with me tonight. The one who would go guaranteed happens to be working.

I honestly do not even feel like going but the only reason I am going is to see Flyers prospect JR Avon who plays on the Petes.

The malaise and apathy that has set in with me with regards to this team is off the charts. I really have such very little interest to go and watch this clown show anymore .

If they are losing by more than five goals at the end of the second period I am outta there lol

First period recap:

Wow row G is very full tonight. Season ticket holders on both sides of me are here tonight which is a rarity. Maybe first time this year. They must be lost. I suspect they will be gone by end of the second period. I am sitting very close to where the illustrious NiceDawg usually parks his butt. Nice view from here.

Score 2-0 Petes (again no surprise)

I will give the icedogs a very generous two scoring chances in the entire first period which included an icedogs PP. During which my boy JR Avon scored a beauty SHG going through four icedogs with some nice dekes, fell to his knees, got up and in the process deked an icedog, and got a shot away that squeaked thru Flores wickets. A goal worth watching if you are a Flyers or Petes fan. Check it out Dog fans if you want to see the Dogs PP hard at work! lol. The second scoring chance the Petes had on the PK was courtesy of the wearer of the Green jacket - Leblanc. The icedogs finally got the puck into the Petes zone on the PP with about 8 seconds left in the PP and period lol.

At this rate my attendance past the second period is not looking so good. Beer is cold and pockets getting lighter.

I wonder if the icedogs coach is regretting taking this job because this record will not be flattering on his resume!?

And I am not blaming him entirely because the personnel is atrocious (obviously)

But makes you wonder ? how desperate was he for a job?

They continue to play… play is a generous word, like a team that just doesn’t care at all. Whoever called out Copeland a while back I see what you’re saying. He showed a little promise last year, but he doesn’t care anymore and it’s blatantly obvious at this point. Both LeBlanc’s are useless. Outside of Ribau’s fight a few games back I’m still waiting for him to actually do something this season. Doubtful at this point. I’ve never been so excited for an IceDogs season to end. When that email comes through about renewing my tickets for next year I will probably have to share a few thoughts on why it’ll be a hard pass for me.

Going to give the Icedogs one legitimate scoring chance this period lol. So I would say they have had 3 good scoring chances in two periods. They really barely ever have the puck in the offensive zone. Through forty minutes of play if they have had the puck in the O zone for a cumulative time of four minutes I would be shocked lol

Nasty looking reverse hit at the buzzer on vannetten. Looks like he got an elbow in the nose out of it. The refs talked about it for a bit at the end of period but ultimately they didnt figure it amounted to anything worthy of even a review.

I have to say Darren has built a great team. If this team was in Jr B.

The amount of skill and talent on the Petes compared to the Icedogs is such a disparity .


I have to say Flores has had a really good game tonight. Easily the best dog on the ice tonight. No actual skater has done anything whatsoever in this game.


On pace for another 60 shots against and 4.5 goals or so and many quality scoring chances.

He has improved a lot from the beginning of the year. Still do not think they really needed to bring him in but at least he has not been a total flop.

If one were to come to a game and be forced to take a drink every time the icedogs missed a pass ?. You would leave the game very inebriated
