If they draft a true stud or 2 at the top of the draft as difficult as it would be to not go I will also pass. Even if they hire a quality GM I doubt DeBozolaer would let them do their job without interference.

I simply cannot bother wasting my time anymore to go to games with the pathetic team he has put together

Maybe things change if the import draft brings some surprises and the top picks who are actually top picks are drafted and actually report

But I suspect for the first time since the team has been here I am not going to buy season tickets and instead will go to a handful of games instead with multi pack ticket purchases

I am done devoting a lot of my time to this team unless major changes happen

Got a call from the IceDogs office yesterday asking if I was planning on renewing.

Let him know exactly how I felt and that I was waiting to see what was done surrounding the draft and who would commit.

But very specifically stated that if the same nonsense continued it was unlikely that I would renew.

I get the impression that, by the tone of his voice, he had dealt with a number of similar responses.

I don't like to make rash statements when I am angry. At this point, I am angry and feel cheated at having paid to watch an inferior product.

Even visiting teams play down as they have so little respect and are so sure of coming away with a win. This takes away the joy of watching a good visiting team. I can't count the number of times this year that I have watched a good team play badly and still destroy Niagara on the scoreboard. When I pay to see top tier junior hockey, that is what I expect to get. Otherwise, I can get my hockey fix for free by watching my son play minor hockey. At least I get what I expect to see there.

I got a call but I missed it

They did not leave a vm so I suspect they will call back

I too will not be returning as a STH I do not think. The draft may change my opinion not sure.

I will still go to games but not as many as in the past

I will be sure to voice my displeasure when they call but it probably is venting for no good reason. I doubt the kid making the calls is going to tell the owner that this STH thinks he is a dumbass

There has to be a point where all STHs are going to debate this decision. If the 'office' making the calls gets enough 'blowback', they would be wise to advise DDD to make a few calls himself! He seems motivated by the economics of his franchise purchase, so why wouldn't he want to know what his most loyal fans are thinking? Seems 'management' entails knowing your market as well as possible when making critical decisions.

As time has passed and my anger has partially subsided, my more rational self has determined that the minimum price for continuing as a STH is 2 high drafted first round picks that are eager and willing to report. (DDD should be able to go to the rankings and accomplish at least half of that.)

Quite frankly, with 3 departing OA's and at least 5 players that do not belong in th O, they need all of the talent that they can squeeze out of the draft and the import draft. Draft and keep the players that fit, trade those that don't for picks down the road. London does just this quite effectively.
