I am still faithful and believe we can beat the 67’s. Yes, the odds are against winning 4 in a row, but isn’t that what happens during a sweep...and plenty of those have happened over the years! But, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank the Niagara IceDogs’ players and coaching staff for a great year. In the beginning of the year there were many naysayers that believed the IceDogs would finish near the bottom of the league, if not last in the league. I believed they were better than everyone told me and now I look like I know what I am talking about. There is no doubt in my mind that we do not deserve to be down 3-0 and could just as easily be up by that count. There is no doubt in my mind that we can beat these 67’s and there is no doubt in mind that we can finish strong. You guys showed guts and a tonne of heart all year and no matter what happens, I know you’ll keep giving everything you’ve got until the very end. I don’t want the season to end because when it does, I’ll miss this team so much. Regardless of the outcome of today and what happens beyond...Thank you IceDogs, you’re the best! Lay it all on the line tonight, and if it isn’t enough, so be it...I’ll still be a proud and passionate IceDogs’ fan. Also, a heart-felt thanks to Bill and Denise Burke for bringing the Dogs’ to this area...I can never express how grateful I am to you for making this all possible. You deserve recognition for being the most accessible, approachable and just good all round individuals I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.
GO DOGS GO!!!!
