Carbonara is here for one specific reason. He add the much needed sandpaper that our team lacks and he gives Thomas and other a lot more space on the ice. But, he does help the team or teammates if he is watching the games from the club seats as he did not night.
As for Shankar, I have already shared my thoughts on him....

Come on Thursday and the Erie Otters!

They both play a role playing or not playing

i have no problem at all with shanker and carbonera (langdon i can do without) and actually miss them when they are not in the line up...yes they do take away playing/developing time from the younger players but they are necessary to look after our younger/smaller guys. Their only problem is their names carry such a reputation that they get more penalties than deserved. Admittedly I am a homer, and we on this site continually complain about the officiating but I cant believe how they make such cheap calls and then both refs miss flagrant ones...I think had shanker or carbonera kneed Lochead not only would it have been a penalty but a suspension. I was very pleased to watch Willy bring his sandpaper game but not get goaded into foolish penalties....we need him on the ice for his physicality until the others return...I dont think Missy would have been taking as many liberties with our skill guys and running Dhillon like they did had they been in the line up...this being said it was a great game from our boys especially after the 2 goal deficit...keep on skating boys!

Lochead seemed to be the player in the bulleye on his jersey as the Missy players were running him all night long. He drew a lot of attention last night and even drew a couple of penalties

Most underrated D-Man on the team.

Missed the game last night but after watching the replays of goals the thing I am getting concerned about is how teams are now starting to figure out that going over Dillion's shoulder will be a goal. Why is it that when the oppent is shooting from just inside the blue line is he going to his knees and giving up the top corners of the net. Not an expert on goaltending but just my observation.

All the teams know where to shoot the puck on Dhillon.
Anything above the midsection and trapper side is the wanted location for a shot from the left face off circle.

Dhillon took a beating last night....seemed to be labouring the rest of the game after he did the splits.

Gee, if every one knows that's how you beat Dhillon. It's too bad there isn't someone in the organization who can work on mechanics like that with him... Possibly, a coach... A coach, whose only job is to work with the goaltenders regarding how they do their job. God, it would be great if we had someone like that in the organization...

Also, if this mythical person existed they could find a way to keep our goalies from flopping around like dying fish.

Perhaps they would be called a "goaltending coach" ?
