This team blows me away.
They open the 3rd period with a five goal lead and they go to sleep.
I have stated this before that my best defense is a strong offense but, they keep wanting to play that prevent defense so to speak.
Sit back on their heals and wait and see what happens. The result was 3 quick goals .

Our beloved team lacks the so-called killer instinct. When the opponent is down, we do not sit and wait for them to get back up.

Anyway, we are pleased about the 2 points and suggest that they get out of Flint as quick as possible.

PS: As I read above,...... I too am not really interested in other teams giving up big leads. My primary concern is our team and my wish for them to improve every game.
Maybe tonight was another learning lesson for them. I hope so.

Go Dogs Go!!!!! And keep the pedal to the metal for 60 minutes..

Itís the OHL teams let up when they lead by a handful in the third (by handful I mean 3 or 4+) everyone knows it happens so not sure why that would surprise you and the Flint come back didnít lead to undisciplined play that would probably happen regardless

The way this game was being played I disagree... they were on the gas and the discipline was good.... they let off the gas get caught watching and standing still and all of a sudden they are in the box and momentum shifted

Actually, the Ice Dogs were very good in the Mississauga game! No goals and only 7 shots on goal in the 3rd.

Case in point.....followed Sarnia vs Saginaw tonite. Sarnia up 6-0 with 3 min. Left in the 2nd.....oops lost 7-6 in o/t. Let's keep our heads up Dogs If you get a lead , stand on the gas and don't let up. Bury them !!!!!!!

I stand corrected that game was the slow start

Rod Mawhood just tweeted this out:

"Bradey Johnson @bradey9johnson_ becomes the first player in #IceDogs history to be named 1st star in three straight games. @OHLHockey @CHLHockey"

Pretty remarkable to think with all the big name players they've had over the years. Good for Bradey though.

Yes they were on the gas but they let up like I felt they kind of did against Erie difference is Flint was able to do something Erie wasnít and maybe you are right about the penalties but since penalties seem to be a theme with these guys I just have a feeling theyíd happen regardless

I’ll bet that bus ride was not a sombre one. Man, Michigan is a tough place to get points. On one hand, there is that negative feeling from turning what was a blowout win into a nailbiter, but on the other hand, maybe you come away from this saying a win is a win is a win. There are things to correct, sure, but this would have been an absolutely devastating loss. Happy the Dogs won, happier that they didn’t lose
