I think Billy is still spreading his scoring power aroune on different lines. Problem is this leaves Thomas, Tomasino & Sopa by themselves and easy to neutralize. Why not put them together and have at least 1 line capable of some offence. Uberti, De Simone and Castleman would make a decent 2nd line.

It’s safe to say that this far in their careers Uberti and DeSimone have shown that they are not second line players ... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

And it’s safe to say that if Uberti and DiSimone were on any other team, they’d be doing better than they are here.

Well I think it’s safe to say they would get more ice time, including PP time.... whether or not that makes them to be doing better is another story But the fact that they rarely see any PP ice time certainly isn’t helping with their development Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

We did not watch the game last night because we were having fun watching the Rock the Rink Ice Show at the Meridian Centre. New security and all. Way better than watching our Puppies, that's for sure.
Interesting quote by Billy that read: “Disappointing night, both special teams really let us down and we could not execute what we wanted,” IceDogs coach Billy Burke said. “If we could’ve got our power play clicking during the first two periods it would’ve been a completely different game as our five-on-five play, especially from the young guys, was pretty good.” Burke liked what he saw from rookies Cameron Snow, Ryan Campbell and Anthony Agostinelli. “They all played great. They had big energy, played within the structure and created chances all night,” Burke said. The first thing wrong with this post game statement is that we do not have a power play. Very easy to defend against, and so on. Burke complimented the younger guys (rookies). Does that mean that all the returning players are tuning him out and just showing up in body and taking a spot in the room and on the bench. It is not going to get any better anytime soon. Oh well. Off to Hometown Hockey shortly!!! |
