I've actually been surprised that it wasn't 2 F signed (or 1 F and 1 D). The short bench looked like it was killing them in Ottawa. Not so much in Kingston, but still. It's always good to have a few 'extra' guys hanging around sitting under the learning tree...

And if Moore IS out tonight, I could see Johnson back on D, with Sims being the 'floater'.

Oddly I thought Toby Rizzo (based on his performance in camp) would get signed over Sims. Rizzo had a bit more sandpaper in his game, and looked harder to knock off the puck. But I guess that's why I'm a fan, and they're Hockey Operations peoples...

I think if it was a long term thing you might see Rizzo for the sandpaper but for a one off which this should be I think Sims is better

I can see that. Just always makes me a bit queasy when they have these young, undersized kids come in. I suppose I can say, at least it wasn't Cameron Snow. I love the kid's game, but he needs to realize he's not 6'... He worried me all camp. He reminded me of Lucas Chiodo without the 'trying to stay out of trouble' streak Chiodo has.

That's a pretty hefty suspension. I may have to go back and watch that again, it really didn't look that bad to me. I mean I expected a penalty for it, but 6 games?

I thought instantly that the call should have been a 5 and a game.. i figured 3-5 games ... that said he has had 4 or 5 questionable hits this season which have probably been reviewed and he also got away with an obvious slew foot a couple games prior... i think the league threw an extra game to smarten him up

Not if you were watching the game as a hockey fan and not just an icedogs fan... 100% dirty and the type of that needs to be out of the game

Why so late announcing the suspension I think that the main reason the Ice Dogs are mad.
