Do you have a goaltender in mind that utilizes this style? I'm picturing this from your description:

Game's changed a tad.

Goaltending back then was so terrible ... even the 80s ... so bad ... hasek revolutionized the position ... as much as I hated him lol

Here are some stand-up, pre-butterfly style goalies. A collection of glove saves, two pad stacks, kick saves and the lost art of the skate save!

Rookie goalie understands being an understudy
By Bill Potrecz - February 5, 2019
http://www.bpsportsniagara.ca/rookie...an-understudy/

Sbaraglia feels this season, regardless of how much or little action he sees, will put him in good shape to contend for more playing time next year. ďI think itís going to be huge. Iíve already got a year here and Iíve developed and feel much more comfortable and know what to expect.Ē

Burke said the IceDogs are ďactively looking to hire someone else and hopefully we can have something done in the next couple of daysĒ.

The word around the arena was that an elderly family member got rushed to the hospital and Ludzik wanted to leave which would have been during the third period of a game. Allegedly words like "disloyal" were used by the head coach who insisted that he finish the game. Apparently other words were used by Ludzik at that time and now he is an unemployed OHL goalie coach.

We have a headcoach that has been given a beautiful set of tools....he just doesn't know how to use any of them. Tool is a good word actually. I'd even take Dave Cameron over this guy...lol
