No other team in the OHL are like this.
I follow the OHL hfboards alot.
Other teams may not disclose type of injury but when the organization states an estimated return date, its pretty darn accurate.
It baffles me why this organization,imo, leave us in limbo or very inaccurate.
If they would honestly say we are not sure(ie,,concusion issues or some setback) , I could handle that

Checked this statement to see if it was accurate. You’re right…

GUELPH STORM
Tony Saxon‏ @SaxonOnTheStorm
Cam Hillis has an MCL injury that does not require surgery but he will be out of the lineup for 6 to 8 weeks.

Tony Saxon‏ @SaxonOnTheStorm
Jack Hanley to hospital to have his injured ankle looked at. Early indications are either a fracture or high ankle sprain. "It's not good," says George Burnett.

GuelphToday.com
Already missing key players Cam Hillis and Jack Hanley with lengthy injuries, the Storm lost its hottest forward Wednesday night when Pavel Gogolev slid into the end boards. X-rays determined he had a fractured ankle. He will see a surgeon in Guelph on Thursday to determine if surgery is necessary.

Tony Saxon‏ @SaxonOnTheStorm
Guelph Storm Injury update:
Pavel Gogolev had surgery on his broken ankle yesterday. Anticipated return 8-10 weeks.
Jack Hanley no surgery. Without setback could return in early March.
Cam Hillis recovering well. Hopefully back early February.

OTTAWA 67s
@TSN1200
67’s injury update after last night’s game in Sudbury. Marco Rossi is week to week with a sprained elbow, Nikita Okhotyuk is out 2-3 weeks with a sprained ankle and Quinn Yule is day to day.

Bernd Freimueller
@bfreimueller
Kick in the gut for Marco Rossi and Austrian junior hockey: Torn ligament in his arm, maybe surgery necessary. No B-WJC for him, might be back in January.

With all due respect, it might be time for you to make a phone call to Joey or Billy and see if you can get your answer straight from the horse's mouth, per say.
Good luck though.

When I said it was a high ankle sprain a few posts back and that it would be a couple of more weeks. It was from the “horses mouth”. Joey was in last weeks episode of the OHL fanboys podcast. Those were the exact words he used. “Middle of a high ankle sprain that has sidelined him for about a month and unfortunately will probably have him out for a couple of more weeks.”

Thanks ff51. That is at least a little reassuring! Surprised no other IceDogs' source reported that exact information on their websites. But as long as Lodnia is expected back at some point, that is all that really matters!

Matt and DJ (IceDogs This Week Jan 23)

Matt: How soon do you think you can get back into the lineup?

Bruder: I already tried to get back…physio going well…just need to get back to 100% and not 90%.

No return date mentioned, but get the impression – the injury is not as serious as it looked and Bruder will be back sooner rather than later.

It was also mention that Jacob Paquette could possibly be back this weekend.

Paquette is still day to day - whatever that means. Red Flag! I have not heard or read anything about Lodnia this week? No point in asking anymore?

Just hope Lodnia is ready for the week before playoffs ... I’m basically assuming he’s not playing until then and I won’t believe anything reported by the team or the two media puppets u too I see him on the ice.

Well at least Paquette is skating so that’s a good thing as for Lodnia wasn’t it a week or two ago they mentioned a month? if that’s the case then I wouldn’t expect anything till that month is up

Lodnia likely tore all his ankle ligaments rather than a break - ligaments can be 3-6 months to heal - I was casted twice, crutches for months and never played squash again! My ankle still turns frequently and is definitely weaker than the other. Just my experience.
