Maybe we can rename this post to "Promote" BB to xxx position as we know he has a "no fire" clause in his contract!

There is no way that BB is the only coach in this league to "lose his mind" in the room.
All coaches do at some point.
Hell, in my heyday,, I was guilty of throwing a garbage can or a stick or two. But never aimed at an individual.
Do we think Dale Hunter never blows a gasket?

My coach threw a traffic cone at me once and stormed out of the room. This is after allowing 6 goals on about 60 shots; bad junior team. When he returned I was wearing the cone on my head and this sent him into a fury like I have never seen before. The next morning, while stretching on ice before practice, I put the cone in goal and told the coach if the cone stops 90% of the shots, he can throw whatever he wants at me.

Do you think we all rallied around the cone throwing incident? Not a chance.

I am wondering that how long your coach and myself would last in a locker room in today's game. I am quite sure that I would not make it through the 1st half of a season, most likely. Lazy penalties like hooking, slashing rather than skate your butt off, still put over the top to this day.
Coaching has changed as they almost need a degree in physiology today and baby sitting skills too. LOL

2 - Tynan was outstanding and masked a lot of the defensive problems we are now seeing ... gruesome injury can he return to the same form next season? Big question mark there. If not we are in deep do do because ...

3 - the two current goalies we have now have shown they are not OHL caliber starters ... if Tynan doesn?t come back that?s a problem .

4 - our OA next season will be so weak and there is really no reason to waste assets to bring in better quality OA.

5 - our current group of young forwards hasn?t shown much IMO. There will be some improvement no doubt but they have MASSIVE shoes to fill ... Uberti has been better second half, DeSimone has regressed badly, and I really haven?t seen much progress from their fringe forwards who probably get pushed out the door next year ... I think Agostinelli and Snow could become legit third liners next year ... outside of Uberti, Bruder (OA), Butler, Peters, Snow, Agostinelli, I really don?t see anything special ...

6 - we will have a very high import pick AND a high first rounder - could be a difference maker picking that high - but will they report with such poor quality head coaching?

I think you are being too optimistic .

Oh ps it would be nice if they stopped drafting midgets in the first five rounds of the draft at least ... pick the midgets after that ... I?m so sick of always being the undersized team ...
I wasn't being optimistic. I was saying it is hard to assume how good or bad we will be next season. I was replying to a poster who suggested that they knew we would be terrible.

#2 Yes, we will not know if Tynan returns to his stellar form until next year.

#3 Sprags has improved a lot. With a decent team in front of him he might be good.

#4 I bet they bring in a good OA next year. They will need to sell tickets and will be forced to try and improve fast.

#5 To me it seems like our younger players suffered when our star players were traded away. Not sure what that means.

#6 I would guess we have a really good reputation at developing skilled players. You are only looking at the negatives in a rebuilding year. I think players largely want to come here if they decide the OHL is their route to the pros. I have always figured that our proximity to the GTA is a big positive to the parents. Who obviously have a big influence on the decisions.

> I?m so sick of always being the undersized team ...

Me too!

As far as why Militec was on this roster a couple of years ago lol I think everyone knows my thoughts on that.

And to whomever said this before they may be on to something ... and THAT might be the only way we see a coaching change behind the bench ... if top players start refusing to report because of the person currently filling the role as head coach, and if word of that filters back to Daddy, I think THAT is how a change might be made behind the bench ... otherwise we are stuck with the genius boy wonder who loses his mind every other game against the officials ...

Yes they all will do that at certain times; tradition!! BB just happens to do it pretty much each game lately; sometimes multiple times per game if the volume in the hall is any indication. How can this not affect & depress these impressionable young men after a while?
