A big reason for the Falcons winning the Championship is former Icedogs goalie Andrew MacLean. He is simply amazing. He had the best GAA (1.45) and save percentage (.943) in the league this season. He was also named MVP for the Golden Horseshoe League in the regular season and MVP in the playoffs as well. He is probably the best goalie who has ever played for the Falcons. If you haven’t seen MacLean play this year I would suggest you see a game when the Falcons play in the Sutherland Cup. He looks like a completely different goalie then when he played for the Icedogs.

Former Icedogs Mason Howard has also played well since joining the Falcons.

My daughter and I went and had a lot of fun. Crowd was really into it and loud. It reminded me of the old days when the Dogs played at the Jack. Kids were banging on the penalty box glass when a Chatham player was in the sin bin. Fans yelling at the refs. It was awesome. Ooh and the Falcons won 5-1.
