Might be because of the isolation and the brain, not being sharp, but, not sure what this means.

If the IceDogs are seeking an OA upgrade for the RW, here are a few possibilities that may not be overly expensive?

Undrafted Players from teams that are sellers…
RW Roberts, Connor - Flint
RW Wismer, Jake - Flint
RW Uba, Eric - Guelph
RW Stevenson, Keegan - Guelph
RW Pearson, Kaleb - OS
RW Roth, Ryan - Sarnia
RW Goldowski, Jake – Saginaw

OA RW upgrade?
*RW Hinz, Brady – Petes
*RW Groulx, Daylon - Ottawa
*RW Gilhula, Owen - Sudbury

The better LW OAs are either drafted, too expensive or not available (e.g., Hoelscher, Golod, Popov). Definitely better options at upgrading on the RW, but here are the OA LW upgrade(?) possibilities:

Undrafted Players from teams that are sellers…
LW Katic, Danny – Saginaw
LW Hutcheson, Nolan - Sudbury
LW Robinson, Owen – Sudbury

Roberts and Hinz probably cost more than the team is willing to spend

IceDogs next move could possibly be an upgrade at one of the OA roster spots?

Post 1 UPDATED

OHL OA Report (As of Sept. 20, 2020)

Currently, the OHL has 10 teams over the 3 OA limit; 3 teams with 3 OAs; 7 teams without 3 OAs.

If all teams set their OA roster to 3 (and not 4 players), there are 9 OA roster spots available – and 17 extra OAs in the league. The 17 OAs potentially on the move can be categorized into three groups. This summary assumes that N.Daws, PGogolev, L.Kirk return to the OHL.

High Market Value
**These players are the possible or probable trade candidates. Erie, Flint, Guelph and Owen Sound have excellent OAs, so it could also be another player of equal or higher value.
Erie: D - Jack Duff
Flint: F - Connor Roberts
Flint: D - Owen Lalonde
Guelph: F Keegan Stevenson
Owen Sound: F - Adam McMaster
Owen Sound: D - Carter Robertson

Mid-Market Value
Niagara: F - Bruder, Andrew (or D - Beraldo, Adrien)
Oshawa: D - Ennis, William
Sudbury: F - Gilhula, Owen
Sudbury: D - Serensits, Emmett

Low Market Value
Flint: F - Yule, Quinn
Niagara: F - Doherty, Jackson
Niagara: F - Theriault, Lucas
Saginaw: G - Frappier, Marshall
Sarnia: F- Mack, Joseph
Sudbury G - Purboo, Christian
Windsor: F - Playfair, Chris

NOTE: A few of the higher-end OAs on rebuilding/retooling teams will be moved during the season. Players such as P.Gogolev, N.Daws, C.Andree, T.Angle, C.Douglas, B.Kirwin, S.Popov, D.Busby,… could become available to contenders.
