I believe 30% at the Jack would be around 1000 fans. The Falcons don't draw anywhere near that.

30% would be approximately 1500 fans. That probably represents the number of STH returning this season. You're right anything that doesn't reflect the attendance numbers over the last 5 years is not enough, but under the circumstances 30% percent is at least a good starting point. I would love to see some hockey in December - there's not going to be much else to do during the winter months.

I think 30 percent a good starting point You can increase the crowds from there .

Put my deposit down on next season, to save my seat. Ontario cases rising (although the more important metric of hospitalization and ventilator use doesn?t seem to be concerning)... think the headline causes most of the concern for the politicians .... and that being said I still can?t envision crowds at the meridian centre come dec 1.... hope I?m wrong as I have tickets to at least two games this season lol

Likely a preview of what’s to come here: https://halifaxmooseheads.ca/letter-...ticket-holders

Halifax is allowed a capacity of less than 20% but the arena will be divided into 8 zones and fans cannot cross zones. Each zone will have their own entrance/exit, concession stand and washroom.

Their capacity is 11,093 so they are allowed roughly 2,000 or 8 sections of 250 people. Sounds grim.

I?m all for crushing the curve but when is enough enough ? I think our east they barely even have any overall active cases too unlike Ontario and out west ...

I mean that?s really extreme to have that few people In such a large arena.

CHL owners across the board this season are going to lose a TONNE of money if they are limited to 20% capacity ... YIKES

I have heard that for some, anything short of 50% and they close the doors. Not sure what the margin is for Niagara. Nova Scott's numbers are far better than Ontario's - could come down to the wire.

I guess I am encouraged that they are even allowing fans. With a limit of 50 people currently allowed indoors, anything above that is a win. But if you think about it, to maintain social distancing every other row will need to be blocked off at a minimum which reduces capacity to 50%. Then you will likely need 3 empty seats between groups of people in each row which cuts capacity in half again. So your left with a maximum of 25% capacity and even that might not be enough to maintain social distancing.

I have been saying for months. I expect the season to start without fans around Xmas. That the government will throw some money in and the vaccine will begin distribution right around New Years. When that starts we will get to half capacity for the last half of a shortened season.

I still think this is what will happen.
