It all has to do with the NCAA's signing period. That's why the OHL Draft was moved up. The battle for players.

Dave Brown that was the GM who was fired after the draft.

Chichillo was fired by Brown and replaced by Mike McCourt.

The following year the Dogs cleaned house firing Brown and McCourt shortly after the draft.
