You never know. In last weeks game against NB, Roberts had at least two shifts on the forward line. So the coaching staff are at least thinking that Roberts playing as a forward could be an option.

Pretty clear that the coaching staff was aware of the team’s struggles at the dot, last night. They exhausted all resources to try and win draws – wingers Butler and DeSimone were called on to try and win draws a few times.

Granted, you require certain attributes to win faceoffs (e.g., quick hands, concentration, hand-eye coordination, power, strength…), but winning faceoffs can 100% be a taught and learned skill. This is a perfect teachable moment for this staff. Those who have become the games’ best faceoff guys was a result of A LOT of practice on the ice and in the gym.

IceDogs coaching staff should use these couple of months to provide small group instruction for the team’s future centerman (Peters, Uberti, Sims, Snow, Agostinelli) – so they can apply what they learn in game situations – and figure out what works or does not work for them.

Use available staff (maybe reach out to Jordan Maletta), use technology (study video clips of the games’ best), use the gym, use designated practice time to make that detail of the game one of the team’s strengths in the years to come.

Winning draws in all three zones is important - and it’s essential if you want to have any success on special teams (PP and PK).

A day later I am still very happy that they won that game last night without Lodnia. Has to be a good confidence boost for the younger players.

Ya I caught that there was a 3 hour delay last night due to a accident on the 401.... I also expect that I was driving down to watch a loss... Better luck tomorrow I hope.. Castleman left the game with about 10 minutes to play.. was there anything said on the air about it.. to me it looked like he was favouring his right arm.. they. Can't afford to lose him now as well

He is a 2004!! Plus the STHs?? Shane Wright is worth the price of attendance by himself! He is an '04, performing on
