People either love him or are at the other end, that is for certain.
Ultimately he won't be a fit for the Islanders. They will end up selling him off (cheap) to some other team and if they can figure out how to exploit his talent while improving his downside, they will laugh all the way to the bank. Josh is a great player and a nice person on top of it. He is quirky and he has a habit of saying and doing things that infuriate management. Yes, I know players are supposed to conform to the team not the other way around. We have similar challenges in the work world with millenials. Most aren't worth the added hassle but some are. Josh is.

Forget about ll of the outside noise on attitude and lifestyle. It really comes down to one thing - performance - and he has average just over half a point per game in the AHL. That doe snot translate into being the top player out of your draft year. Less mouthing off and more performance and he might get a chance to show what he has . The NHL is based on performance. There are all kinds of characters but in the end can you play

Who knows, I do know however, that, in order to play, you will need someone to play with. Perhaps he will just spend his time trying to find someone who will put up with him. The locker room is a funny funny place where everyone wears afunny funny face.

If JT says don’t call him up, then he ain’t getting the call up.

True words Oz (had to google it but I get the reference). There are plenty of players who are odd ducks but play well. Just going to take the right club to mesh with him.

Only ducks permitted to be odd are the duck that stop the pucks.
