Although, any kind of casino show sucks on a certain level. Short, no booze and sterile environment. So we may still get big shows at the MC.
I don't know if this might be a serious problem for the Meridian Centre once the new facility opens. There will be 2500 more seats to purchase.
We have been buying tickets to events there for a long time. We have a membership card but, we might play once a year. Therefore, we do not qualify for the gamblers perks.
Many, many times, especially for big shows, the tickets are just about sold out before they become available to the general public.

I am not sure if it will affect our rink a whole lot.

Just my opinion on this and I am curious as to what other members here might think.

The issue RSJ is that the Casino can not only pay more for the acts to appear with the gamblers (our) money, but they can also comp basically as many tickets as they want, whereas Meridian can only do so much on both ends.

It will hurt the Meridian Centre and St. Catharines overall, unfortunately.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and concerns 123G.

Time will tell how this agenda will work out.

I have been lucky and have never been shut out of a show there that I wanted to see.

Only once I had close seats though.

I almost never gamble in that casino. So I get no benefits.
