In the olden days, a goalie who stayed in his crease, for the most part was pretty safe.
This is what I was taught as a kid.

JB did a fantastic job, period. I was dreading BBjr doing that one and having seen him perform under those circumstances, I respect him even more as a GM. That was a tough interview and he sounded like a total professional.

Perhaps he has his own issues, if he truly was a former Force"s medic there is the potential he has PTSD or suffers from some form of mental illness. Prior to the injury he was spoiling for a fight and he found one afterwards. You can't throw gasoline onto a fire and convince others your intentions were not for it to blow up.

Agree 100% with Red. Exactly what I (and a lot of other people) saw.

From the opening face off , I found myself watching him (mostly because he wanted everyone to watch him). He was no neutral observer for sure.

His BS laced explanation did not in anyway match his actions before, during or after the incident. I’m a little confused as to why his explanation was so easily accepted by the OHL without a proper investigation. Something is not right here. Is this type of behaviour acceptable at an OHL game.

I bet the teams and the league just wanted to put the whole debacle to an end as fast as possible. I really hope he is banned from the arena. If not, that nut bar might get a belly full of beer and come back to start more trouble because he thinks he was exonerated.

The IceDogs, at the time, were likely too concerned with saving Tucker Tynan’s life to care. It’s just unfortunate no-one seemed to have gotten video evidence of this escaped mental patient’s conduct. I am sure that if any video evidence were shown to the OHL office in January or February, let’s say, once all the trauma of all this has passed and the IceDogs’ season has resumed as normal, a lifetime ban for this moron wouldn’t be difficult to get.

I don't know myself and I am hoping somebody comes up with a solution. Because this will not be the last time it happens and next time there might not be skilled medical staff seconds away.
I am wearing this:

I have no idea if this would have prevented this situation. I am pretty paranoid about safety as a goalie as my livelihood off the ice depends on meeting pretty strict medical standards. Not sure what Tucker rocks for his kit. You can bet this stuff will be flying off the shelves and more development is about to come. Not so much a consolation, but Tucker may have just stepped up player safety for a lot of hockey players, young and old.

With Tucker on the mend now, I think it’s time to put away any bitterness towards any London fans or anyone else. Let’s see social media do some good. It’s amazing the distance from which I’ve seen messages of support for Tucker Tynan. From all over the US, Canada, even one I saw from the UK!
Now that Tucker’s been through surgery, and is now up on crutches, hopefully the quadricep muscle can heal completely. Sbrags and Swiggy will have to hold the fort. But from what I’ve seen, they should be able to do the job. So let’s all write a ‘TT’ on our own stick blades, tape up, and
GO DOGS GO!!
