Incredible insight into that “moment. Thank you RSJ for posting this. According to Doug Stacey, Chris Triviera did an unbelievable job as the charge person. Chris (and everyone else involved) need some kind of special acknowledgment at Thursday’s game. To witness first-hand all the planning, training, teamwork and most importantly the proper execution of the emergency plan was quite amazing to say the least.

When asked about recovery time, Stacey mentioned a lot of factors play into that. For Doug Stacey this was his 2nd goalie laceration incident. Anthony Stolarz was able to return after 5 weeks because as he describes the injury: “it was just the muscle belly and no major damage to blood vessels, nerves or to tendons”.

Recovery takes at least four months, with most ruptures healed after six months, but complete recovery may take as long as a year.

Standard story on his hospital release.

https://www.stcatharinesstandard.ca/...ving-hospital/

It says his family is from California.

Standard writing is terribly inaccurate

Earlier this year when Lodnia has his big game I think versus sarnia they said he previously scored so many goals in so many games as a member of the sting

Of course he didn’t play for the sting prior to the dogs he played for the otters

So I emailed the writer and told him of the mistake and they corrected it

You are a journalist get your facts straight ... it’s not that difficult lol

I wouldn’t be too hard on the reporter. They only have one full time sports reporter for all of Niagara.
