This is not the first time one of the young dman has had to miss several shifts for a minor midget play. There was a similar play, earlier in the year, by GC Chanton, that led to an Oshawa goal – and it was his last shift for a long stretch. I have not seen GCC do that again this year – and Enright is learning quickly what works and does not work at this stage of his development.
I think Hull runs the D. I think the younger guys have looked fine for the most part this season will be fun to watch them over the next couple of years

I agree. For three rookie 16 year olds, in a league dominated by predominantly 19 year olds, they give IceDog fans reason to be hopeful with their play thus far.

Also, credit Cato for taking his benching like a champ - first one off the bench to race down the ice and celebrate with his teammates the OT winner.

As I said 5 or 10 days ago. I see lots of potential with our young players. I think we already have the seeds of a really good team in 2 years.

They (we) may witness a slaughter ....

Dogs allowed 8 goals and 55 shots against one of the worst teams in the league.

Tonight they face a team whose smoking hot, they’ve won 14 of their last 15 games (think their loss was to Petes) and their offense has been clocking lately with 23 goals scored in their last four games ...

Hoping that the kid isn’t in goal today ... any news on that?

Who has been dressing as the backup anyways ?

Fan bus coming down from Kitchener according to their forum plus people who drive down on their own hope it a good game I will even settle for a consolation point.

Pretty sure Sbrags has been backing up Rosenzweig... My guess is that he could play in a pinch, but they'd rather not risk him. I mean realistically the only other options for them are not great. Picked up Alexander Imperio in the U18 draft last season, Riley Eberhardt would probably be an option (though IMO not a good one), Jukka Schotter, or Jake McGrath. Realistically none of those choices are THAT great. I think barring injury Rosenzweig is as good an option as any. McGrath is the only option with OHL experience... Rather let Rosenzweig 'figure it out'...

The trick will be if the coaching staff can keep him steady, and not let him get down on himself. He's been doing an ok job for a rookie with zero defence being played in front of him. I wouldn't bother picking up any new goalies, they'd just be getting shelled all game. Rather the experience goes to someone who figures into the future plans of the team...

It also depends on how offensive our defense is.

Oh I forgot to mention Rangers’ goalie was OHL goalie of the month for December ... however I’m guessing we my face the backup tonight ...

Maybe the coaching staff could go with a more defensive approach given he has a rookie in net ? Guessing our ‘coach’ might not be smart enough to figure that out on his own ?
