Absolutely RSJ! I am getting tired of the theatrics from our top lines. Just play hockey stop with the hi lite reel moves because when you don't score nobody sees them anyhow. Just simple basic effective hockey will ultimately win us games. If the Johnson, Castleman and Tomasino line are firing on on cylinders then leave them alone.

The theme that hung in all of my locker rooms read:

Keep it simple, stupid

it seems our defensemen are playing Montreal Canadiens Firewagon Hockey style of the 50s .. Get the puck and make a rush to the other end . # 68 #12 and # 98 are guilty of this . That will bite us in the butt more often not on average .

When you have fast moving D-men that play can work but your winger has to drop back. It isn't traditional, so few teams practice a defense to it.

Found this interesting about 17 year old Dogs Goalie draft pick Christian Sbraglia. …….
…...NOTES
Kyen Sopa left the game in the third period with a charlie horse. The IceDogs staff expects him to be fine.
IceDogs prospect Christian Sbraglia was seen around the rink this weekend - time will tell if he ends up signing with the team.

….Sbraglia or Incze could become a trading chip.

Should Dhillon be included in the trade chip conversation, to make it fair?

Very true, saw him at the home opener taking in the game with either his father or agent. I was surprised there was no announcement.

I really don't care if Dhillon let's in a bad goal hereor there during the regular season or has a stinker now and then. He has proven he is a money goalie in the playoffs. Anyone that has watched him the last two years in the playoffs had to have noticed he is a totally different goalie when it matters. He is the only reason the Hamilton series was a close as it was. Hamilton outplayed Niagara for very long stretches, they put upwards of 50 shots a game at Dhillon. He was a rock.

As much as I like the way Incze has played, I like the devil you know much better than the devil you don't. I'm not ready to put all the eggs in the basket of someone we haven't seen tested in the playoffs.

If they can sign the Sbaraglia then trade Incze it would make the most sense. Having said that.... any team that is willing to trade for an OA goalie in Dhillon or a 19 year old goalie in Inzce IMO would also be in a "go for it" year. So, it's unlikely the Dogs would get a player back that could help them this year. Any trade would probably be for picks. IIRC, unless the rule has changed, the OHL put in a rule a few years back that any picks acquired could not be flipped in the same calendar year. If the that is indeed the way it is, it's unlikely they would get a player and they wouldn't be able to use any picks they receive this year. Tough spot.

Rarely in the OHL do you see two teams "going for it" trade player for player. Should be interesting.
