Excellent news.

I figured it was still losing money (and likely will never make money or break even).

But it is good to hear they are losing less than anticipated.

Really wish they could get more acts that I'd be interested in ... always knew it would be tough to draw acts from Buffalo or Hamilton.

Wonder how they figure 80% come from Niagara? Via a dart board?

Lol

Good news anyways.

Sales data. Credit card purchases require an address.

Plus, I think at least once at a dogs game, I had a person with a clipboard ask me if I wanted to do a survey. Or did I dream that?

We might get lucky in a few years and the MC breaks even. All depends on attracting more concerts and events. That could still happen. For sure they are trying and if LiveNation takes an interest it would happen.

They said live nation is part of the problem ... they are bringing acts to Hamilton instead of niagara ...

I know. I am suggesting they might expand to the MC. With any luck.

LiveNation owns part of First Ontario, so little chance of that. There are other tour sponsors and I think last year was good evidence that acts can book in St.Catharines and sell out. There are lots of up and coming bands of every genre that aren't quite popular enough to sell out Hamilton but would fill every seat in Niagara.

I agree, but, why aren't they coming?

Maybe it's the US dollar making it too pricey . That's really the only thing I can think of

Molson Amphitheater too.

They are not against owning or contracting with several nearby venues. They are practically a monopoly. Oligopoly for sure.

Read a great book on them:

https://www.amazon.ca/Ticket-Masters.../dp/0452298083

Great book to read if the live music industry interests you.

I think its because we are not a proven market yet. Less risk for promoters in Hamilton, Buffalo and Toronto.

Give it time. They will come.
