I disagree Thursday they dominated most of the game ran in to a hot goal tender last night was on and off but I felt they dominated the third period today a zero for six power play and a bad third period the playoffs is a new season

Ok I'll give you Thursday night but last nights effort was horrible regardless of the third and today was laughable at best

4th tilt for Haydon but he was instigated upon once so it only counts as three.

The other concern is the Haydon was given the instigator today. Instigating a fight with less than 10 minutes to go is a suspension of it's own. Bell did mention post game thay some suspensions could be bought back. (I always thought that was only a playoff thing) He doesn't expect Haydon to be suspended but nothing surprises him in this league. So, we wait.

Thrilled obviously that the Dogs made the playoffs, but all of this is absolute gravy as far as l'm concerned. Today's 'game' was another example of the Dogs just simply not prepared to play. Effort, effort is my concern. I get that Missy is a flat-out better team, but I mean come on! At least show up, at least compete! My hope for this season was that the Dogs come up with some kind of consistency. Just something, some trait, PP, PK, toughness, speed, scoring, anything that could be a benchmark to say: This is IceDogs hockey.' And throughout the whole season, I'm still looking for that quality to emerge.
But here we are, season done, and I can't think we're going to see anything a whole lot different than what we've seen all year now.

you are totally right when it comes to our team but as for Missy we've played them close a few times this year and we looked pretty good Thursday against them but they have to be ready and willing to play and they haven't been at times this year

One of the problems we had in both games against Missy was winning face-offs. Mikey McLeod is exceptional and we never had control of the puck in either game. But he was drafted 1st round of the NHL and played in the World Juniors for a reason. If we want to be better against the Petes we need our centres to be better in the face-off circle.

We lost to a better team but the guys tried their best. It was a great game to be a Niagara fan - we owned that building.
