Import draft is a shot in the dark like to have the Russian hammer back.

CHL IMPORT DRAFT LIST UPDATED

<> NHL drafted teams now included – and additional NHL drafted players not listed in the original top 50.
<> 14 Euro goalies were drafted and with the new CHL rule in place, expect many of them to go early in the draft.

<> It will be interesting to see if the Ice Dogs draft and sign a couple of players (or at least one) off these lists. If it is ever going to happen, this is the year to do it!

• 2018 Top rated European Players: CHL drafted and Un-drafted.
• 2000 (and 1999)

To quote Fishfan on twitter a few moments ago and I agree with him 100%.
He liked the idea of Niagara blocking London in the draft last year and wished that more clubs would stand up to London.
I also agree with him that Niagara, this week, needs to pick a player that will report.
I also hope that our management picks a player who will have immediate impact and not just a player who will fill a roster spot.

We’ll see if they can get a good player or players since they have two picks to make when they come up but I can’t see anyone having an immediate impact unless he’s played unless he’s played games over here already

Unless the player has an immediate impact, I and speaking for myself, I would pass during both rounds and go with a local player. Local, meaning anywhere within the OHL boundaries, which includes the US or A.

They might end up passing (taking guys they know won’t come so London or whoever can’t get them) I personally don’t think they need to come in and make an immediate impact if the rest of the team is playing well

I have been reading on twitter and the boards site that some of last year's import players have or are being waived through the league {s]. Example: Kitchener's Euro player Liska will not be returning as well.

Has anyone heard of other imports who will not be returning? For example again , Windsor has made it know that they will pick two players and that one of them will be a goaltender.

I know Erie waived a guy and has 1 pick. The Pete’s did the same and have two picks to make Guelph is keeping both imports so technically the dogs move up at least one spot
