By my math that gives us 5 seconds. Second round picks seem to be currency for big name trades. So based on our current supply of second round picks and the cost being two or three per player, how many new players does that translate to for next year. Please do not overreact

We have seen that trades were made in the past few days that involved years from 0203 to 2028.
They are trading away almost babies now for the lack of a better word.

I also think that they have something up their sleeves that we do not know about at this time. hum....

Well, unless they announce the signing of Joshua Norris, they have a really tall mountain to climb next year.

I guess that we will just have to wait and see what there plan is.
You have a valid concern here though and you are not alone.
I, personally hated those picks going to the evil empire.

Just read Byrne taken off the ice in Erie during practice trade with some one love to see Norris here.

Ryan Campbell (Injured / Shoulder Surgery). He was expected to be back playing Junior B hockey in the new year.

Anyone have an update?

Scouting Report from January 2017
2001 Ryan Campbell (6.0 / 174 lbs)

Entered the season as a hyped prospect. Campbell is a competitive, hard-skating pivot who offers diligence and smarts in all zones. Brings a consistent effort to every shift. A combination of speed and power. Dangerous at attacking in short bursts, jumping into lanes presented to him and ploughing his way into scoring areas. Good hockey sense, makes quick passing decisions and hits targets. He shows keen defensive awareness and being a committed backchecker. Rarely cheating on a play unless absolutely sure. Pursues the opposition tirelessly to try and win back possession. His quickness, energy and clever anticipation also makes him an effective penalty killer.

Scouting Report: January 2017

2001 Mason Howard (6’3”/ 205 lbs)

Howard is one of the top defensive prospects out of the Alliance this season. A blend of a throwback-style defending and modern day puck-moving. He's a smart distributor, yet also offers a feared physical element.

Rarely tries to force plays that aren’t there, showing poise in looking off breaking teammates and picking out the best available option.

One of the best checking defenders in the age group. Quickly closes the gap and then punishes the puck-carrier with a heavy and clean open ice hit. No fun for any forward to play against, he wins a majority of his battles.

The concerns over his skating are nit-picking at this point because it doesn’t hold him back at all, but improving it will certainly go a long way in helping him better handle the quicker pace at the next level.

Anyone see him play for Thorold this year? This January 2017 scouting report fairly accurate? Skating ability improved?

I am wondering why Howard is not getting a look and Nardi has played in two games.
I have not seen either one in Jr. B.

Anyone?
