I've started to put together a look at the Eastern Conference returning and departing players. Since the trade deadline will change the look of several teams, I'll wait until after the trade deadline to post it.

However, I can tell you right now - Kingston projects to be the top team in the East. As I've stated before, the Ice Dogs would need to make 3 or 4 big moves to be the front-runners next year. And watch for Ottawa to be good next year, but even better the following year! So, I'm actually a little surprised, but glad to see Kingston is going for it this year - that bodes well for the Ice Dogs next year!

I am not looking for a big deal or two.
Something along the line of the Maksimovich deal and I believe that a draft pick came along with him.

Great trade for us. Maksimovich is my favourite Dog at this point.

I think 3 or 4 moves is a bit much especially “big” moves this team might be 3rd or 4th best as it is so I don’t see how they need 3 or 4 moves next year and I’ll be interested to see what you came up with

Well, I can tell you this, if they don't make some big moves next year like Hamilton and Barrie are doing this year - the Ice Dogs won't be playing for the Bobby Orr Trophy next year! An OHL team has to be really good, not just good to win an OHL championship. Don't convince yourself of anything less.

I wasn’t thinking about winning an ohl title just talking about the East right now Barrie and Hamilton for the most part are good drafting minus 1 or 2 guys

Why don't you just start a brand new thread making it fresh and easy to find as I think that there will be a lot of conversation. I am looking forward to seeing the file.
