Everyone must be away on holidays, as a matter of fact, my bride are getting away for a short three day trip tomorrow to the Owen Sound area.
Things will pick up a little bit on August 1st though. I am still looking for two over age players for next season, We might get one (as written awhile ago by one of our members) prior to the season opening and the second may come here at the trade deadline depending on how our team is doing in the standings.
First exhibition game on September 1st either at the Meridian or Thorold rink

Saw something on twitter about a Kitchener D man up for a trade. It was implied the Dogs are in the market.

It's the absolute dead zone from about July 15 - August 15 where hockey, whether NHL or OHL, completely shuts down. No movement, no rumours, nothing. Once we get to about 2 weeks into August, both Leagues sleepily, slowly come back to life. Beyond that, training camps start, and before you know it, kids are back in school(hooray!), and off we go for the 2017-18 season!
