Another blockbuster haul by Williamson! However at this point the question needs asking, as Brown is not the first 1st rounder to refuse to play for Niagara( and I ask this sincerely): Why don't 1st round picks want to play here?

Honestly I'm quite happy with this. We don't really have room for him this year or next. Those pieces can allow us to add a star player now (or save them to replace verhaeghe next year)

Absolutely. I'm almost of the mind that if players don't want to be here, I don't want to see their face, don't want to hear their name; they're just assets. And as much as I am disappointed that they don't want to play here, you just move on.
Is it just me, or are these disgruntled player trades becoming more common in the OHL?

They're more common because the league put in the compensation rule. Instead of teams not drafting certain players and letting them slide to the London's, Windsor's and Kitchener's because they play the not reporting or NCAA card, teams now select them anyway and make the big markets pay big time for the player they used to get for free.

In the past, the draft was manipulated in favour of the big teams. Now, teams like the Dogs are exploiting the new rule and getting compensated handsomely.

Niagara should be a top destination. But London and Windsor... Pay out of ways like cars etc...
