With Brown defecting, Niagara should end up being a stronger team then if he had shown up. Quite a boat load of picks! Never the less, I noted that Windsor comes to town March 15. Boo birds should be in attendance that day.

Windsor comes to Niagara for a preseason game in Thorold in a couple of weeks.

My question is, what position do we use the picks to fill? IMO if we are going for it, we could use a better 2C, or a well rounded 1D. Just not sure who is available.

I also have a feeling Marty will want a more veteran backup goaltender.

This team is good and has potential but it's not THAT good. If you are going to be a serious contender the team needs more seasoned OHL VETS and I'm not just talking OA's.


Compare our finalist team to what we have now, they aren't even close.


I think Marty will evaluate how the early part of season goes which will be tough because we have a road heavy schedule to start the year.

It will be interesting to see what Marty does.


Maybe he should flip all those picks to Owen Sound for Mete? Lol

Good move by the Icedogs they did really well in that deal.

I think that's exactly what's going on, Fish. And if the 'destination' teams like London want them, they can be utterly pillaged to get them.
And CLF, I think Niagara's not quite a destination team yet, but we're well on our way. I think the Dogs are one big playoff run away from being right there with Guelph and London. This is what makes this latest theft by Marty Williamson so great. Parlaying a player that didn't want to be here anyway into a pile of assets that can be either allowed to mature, or traded off for some more immediate help to push the Dogs over the top.

I think the crowd should say thank you when he comes to town similar to Boston fans doing that to Kessel a couple years back .
