DJ Brooks @DJ_Brooks
GM Burke interview on @610CKTB just said if Thomas comes back...he won’t be traded unless a 16 year old 1st rounder is headed back. An 03 1st rounder is the better move for this rebuild, but the trade also needs to include picks in preferably the years (2020 and 2021). The Favourites Unfortunately, the London Knights ![]() TRACKING: 1st Rd (#20): 03 LW Stuart Rolofs 2020: 2 - 2nd / 1 - 3rds 2021: 2 - 2nd / 2 - 3rds 2022: 1 - 2nd / 3 - 3rds Kitchener has the potential stud centreman, plus some of the picks in the right years. TRACKING: 1st Rd (#13): 03 C Francesco Pinelli 2020: No 2nd / 3 - 3rds 2021: 1 - 2nd / No 3rds 2022: 1 - 2nd / 1 - 3rds Peterborough definitely have the star centreman and 2020 picks, but are currently missing a 2021 pick needed. Can Merkley change that or do the IceDogs take some 2022 instead - and next year, use Tomasino to acquire those 2021 and 2023 picks needed? TRACKING: 1st round 03s (#5) C – Mason McTavish and (#11) C - Jon-Randall Avon. 2020: 3 - 2nd / No - 3rds 2021: No - 2nd / 1 - 3rds 2022: 2 - 2nd / 1 - 3rds Ottawa has the motivation and the picks required, but no centreman, instead, a quality RH defenseman to offer. TRACKING: 1st Rd (#21): 03 RD Jack Matier. Ottawa's best 02 centremen are Cameron Tolnai and Dylan Robinson. 2020: 1 - 2nd / 2 - 3rds 2021: 2 - 2nd / 2 - 3rds 2022: 2 - 2nd / 1 - 3rds |

Saginaw Spirit
1st Rd (#19): 03 LD Connor Punnett (6’1”, 185 lbs) OHL SCOUTING REPORT: Connor is a tough stay at home defender that makes it very hard on the opposition in his own end. He is very physical and uses his explosive skating to close gaps. He has very good mobility and makes good crisp outlet passes. Connor usually plays a very simple game, moving the puck quickly and jumping into the rush when the opportunity arises. He is solid defensively and alert to what is going on around him. Connor is an intimidating presence when he is on the ice. thescout.ca Punnett is a physical two-way defenseman for the North Central Predators who is one of the better players available at the position. A well-sized defenseman who uses his body to separate the player from the puck. A very tough player to beat 1-on-1 as he is a powerful mobile skater, keeps a tight gap and an active stick, and has the ability to step up and lay a hit. Punnett sees the ice quite well in the offensive zone, walking the blue line looking to get a shot through to the net or hitting a player back door. Makes accurate breakout passes. Rarely getting caught up ice. Defensively, he rarely looks to be under pressure and uses his quick stick and his body to help his goalie see the puck. (Trevor Revoy, March 2019) Prospect Level: 1 prospect pipeline https://prospectpipeline.ca/2019/02/...eport-profile/ *** |

Does anyone know why Akil did not play in Saginaw tonight...is he injured or is Billy keeping him healthy for a pending trade? We could sure have used him in the game.
