I thought that he looked pretty good during camp and thought that he might have been kept around a little longer.

Toronto Sun

Lamoriello said, “No decision has been made on Timothy Liljegren.” The club is mulling whether to have Liljegren play with the Marlies or send back to Sweden. Liljegren’s Canadian Hockey League rights are owned by Niagara of the Ontario Hockey League.

Come on Lou, TL would look good in red for a year

He is sticking with the Marlies.

There was really zero chance of him coming to the O. Would've been a step back in development.

If the recruitment of Tim Liljegren and Josh Norris had been successful, it would have transformed the Ice Dogs into elite OHL team and a legit contender - one year into their rebuild.

Acquiring players of that calibre without having to trade away players or picks wins championships. It allows a team to then use their assets to add players required to put the team over the top.

It really emphasis how unlucky the Ice Dogs were a few years ago. Their chances of winning a Memorial Cup quickly vanished when London was able to add Juolevi, Jones, Tkachuk, Dovark and Piccinch without giving up players or picks.

After watching the impressive team the Ice Dogs have assembled for this season, I can see why Joey Burke swung for the fences.

It didn’t work out this year, but I hope the Ice Dogs keep swinging!

But you do realize the swing for the fences approach is why the IceDogs don't have a bonafide back up goalie. Kraws and Sbaraglia are 2 great goalies drafted by the Dogs but both are committed to going to the NCAA. I'm not saying it's wrong to swing for the fences but it does have consequences.

Let's not forget either could report next season, or the year after - ala the London Knights.

Both guys could have said (likely) they'll only play if they're guaranteed number 1 minutes.

I have no doubt that if Dhillon wasn't here, one of their 3 NCAA bound goalies would be playing for the IceDogs.
