Does the Eastern Conference and Western Conference have different officials pools to draw from - I note the somewhat significant difference in PIM for teams in the two conferences....and I'm very pleased where the Ice Dogs are sitting right now and the confidence level with which they are playing....I admit I was skeptical about this season, but so far, so good!

Dogs in 4th again. Only 4 points from the lead. Pretty good.

The Greyhounds have won 16 in a row. What is the OHL record for consecutive wins??

We are all going to hate the answer to the above streak question, but, here is the answer...... damn

From the OHL website...

DECEMBER 16, 2004
Knights record-setting streak ends at 31 games

I hate that I even raised the question.

Crazy looking at Mississauga. They were something like 10 points back at one point, passed the Dogs and are now 14 points back again. All with Tippet and MacLeod back. Dogs were in some rough waters but seemed to have steered the ship back on course.

And this might bring us to believe in the importance of locker room chemistry. One or two unhappy or bad apples (so to speak) can kill a room...

Interesting observation, with Niagara's performance of late, the team has now improved to 16th place overall in the "goals for" category with 98. In the goals against race, the IceDogs are in 4th place overall with 92.

So not only are they scoring more, they are defending better as well - an encouraging combination!

Barrie lost.

So we are tied in points and even in games.

Hopefully by the time we beat them next Saturday we are first in our Division heading into the holiday break.
